About This Stitch Pattern
The Bloque Stitch is a nice solid textured stitch. Using only chains, double crochet stitches, and the occasional half-double crochet, this stitch forms into a strong interlocking pattern. An easy stitch, it would work well for bags or cushion covers.

Foundation Chain: Ch a multiple of 4 sts plus 2 sts.
- Row 1 (RS): dc in 4th ch from hook (sk sts count as dc), dc in next ch, *ch 2, sk 2 ch, dc in next 2 ch; rep from * across to last ch, dc in last ch, turn.
- Row 2: ch 4 (counts as hdc, ch2), *sk next 2 dc, dc in next 2 ch on foundation ch (working over ch-2 sp), ch 2; rep from * across, hdc in t-ch, turn.
- Row 3: ch 2 (counts as hdc),*dc in next 2 dc 2 rows below (working over ch-2 sp), ch 2, sk next 2 dc; rep from * across, dc in next 2 dc 2 rows below, hdc in t-ch, turn.
- Row 4: ch 4(counts as hdc, ch 2), *sk next 2 dc, dc in next 2 dc 2 rows below (working over ch-2 sp), ch 2; rep from * across, hdc in t-ch, turn.
Repeat rows 3 and 4 to desired length.
