Foundation Chain: Chain a multiple of 5 + 1
- Row 1: 1 sc in and ch from hook *, skip next ch, 5 hdc in next ch (shell mode), skip next ch**, 1 sc in each of next 2 ch*, rep from * to * across, ending last rep at **, (1 sc, ch 1, 1sc) in last ch, working across opposite side of foundation ch, skip next ch, rep from * to * across, ending last rep at **, sc in last ch, join with s1 st to first sc
- Row 2: S1 st in each of next 3 hdc, ch 1, sc in same st, * ch 7, 1 sc in third hdc of next shell, rep from * across, skip next hdc, 1 hdc, turn
- Row 3: Ch 7 (counts as hdc, ch 5), *(1 sc, ch 2, 1 sc) in 4th ch of next ch-7 loop (picot mode), ch 5, rep from * across, ending with 1 hdc in last hdc of previous row, turn
- Row 4: Ch 5, * 1 sc in 3rd ch of next ch 5, ch 7, rep from * across, ending with 1 sc in 3rd ch of last ch-7 space, skip next ch, 1 hdc in next ch, end off
