About This Stitch Pattern

The Woven Stitch uses knit and purl stitches to simulate basketweave style fabric. Using basic knit and purl stitch combinations, this all-over pattern gives the look of interwoven strips on knitting. This simple knitting stitch pattern is great for washcloths and blankets.

Row 4: P2, *k2, p2; rep from * to end
Row 5: Knit
Row 6: Purl
Row 7: P2, *k2, p2; rep from * to end
Row 8: K2, *p2, k2; rep from * to end

Repeat these 8 rows until you have reached your desired length.
