You can knit. But somewhere along the way, socks got filed under “not for me”:
You are not “bad at socks.” You just don’t understand how they work yet. We’ll help you see how all the pieces fit together, even if you’ve never knit a sock before.
You’ll go from confused to confident in only 2 days.
Fiber, twist, and nylon content matter more than the pretty colorway. Learn what to look for so your socks outlast the season.
Socks are knit smaller than the feet they fit. Understand why, and sizing stops being a guess.
Cuffs, heels, gussets, toes — every sock is built from the same building blocks. See how they fit together, and any pattern becomes readable.
Heels, toes, constructions, and traditions laid out as one organized map instead of a hundred competing opinions. Exploring becomes exciting instead of overwhelming.
Plain decision rules for choosing your heel, toe, and construction based on your feet, your yarn, and what you enjoy. You’ll know exactly which sock to cast on first.
Yarnist Founder • Your Sock Knitting Guide
I’ve been teaching knitters for 15 years. The thing I hear most about socks is: “They’re just too complicated for me.”
I get it. There are probably more ways to knit a sock than any other type of project. That makes them a great way to explore your knitting, but challenging to get started. Luckily they are all built around the same building blocks. Once you understand how they fit together, a whole world of socks opens up to you.
As founder of The Yarnist, I’ve helped tens of thousands of knitters build real, transferable skills. Through our summits, bootcamps, and workshops, more and more people are learning to be Fearless Knitters.
Sock Knitting Weekend is focused teaching, no fluff — two free days, plus a bonus day for Superpass holders. Come with your needles or just your coffee.
At The Yarnist, we believe understanding creates competence, and competence creates confidence. Becoming a Fearless Knitter is about understanding how knitting works, not blindly following a pattern — and that kind of knowledge shouldn’t be gatekept. That’s what Day 1 and Day 2 are all about.
And if you want to go deeper and see the full blueprint on Day 3, there’s an entirely optional Superpass upgrade.
Each session builds on the last. Day 1: understand the foundations. Day 2: explore the possibilities and choose your path. Day 3: put it all together and cast on.
The Superpass is sold separately — you’ll get all the details right after you register free.
Just yourself. No yarn, needles, or project required to attend. Watch, learn, and ask questions. All sessions run one at a time. A private link will be emailed to you before the event.
Full session replays are free for 48 hours after each day. Watch on your own schedule. Superpass holders get lifetime recording access AND the bonus Day 3 workshop.
