The Double Snakey Cable Stitch

About This Stitch Pattern

The double snakey cable stitch creates a double wave design. This knitted cable panel consists of what looks like two layers of fabric, with touching cable waves on top, and an opposite cable on the bottom. The effect is a nice accent detail which can be used in everything from sweater sleeves to scarves to hats.

C4F”]Cable 4 Front – Slip the next 2sts onto a cable needle and hold to the front of your work, k2, k2 from cable needle.
C4B”]Cable 4 Back – Slip the next 2sts onto a cable needle and hold to the back of your work, k2, k2 from cable needle.

Cast On: Panel of 8 sts

Row 1: (Right Side): Knit.
Row 2: Purl.
Row 3: C4B, C4F.
Row 4: Purl.

Row 7: C4F, C4B.
Row 8: Purl.

Repeat rows 1-8 until you have reached your desired length.
