How to Crochet: The Slip Stitch

The slip stitch is a technique that allows you to join your work in pattern without creating an extra stitch.

Also known as: join.

Skill: Beginner

Pattern:

Step 1: Begin with a row of chain stitches. How many you need to chain will be determined by your pattern.

Step 2: Take your crochet hook and insert into the stitch on your chain row where you want to join.

Step 3: Wrap your yarn over your crochet hook.

Step 4: Pull the yarn through the chain stitch and the stitch on your hook.
