The Basketweave Stitch creates woven looking fabric similar to a basket. The Basketweave Stitch would be great for afghans, heavy weight sweaters and potholders.

  • Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), skip first st, *BPdc around the post of next 4 sts**, FPdc around the post of each of next 4 sts, rep from * ending last rep at **, 1 dc in top of turning ch, turn
  • Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), skip first st, *FPdc around the post of each of next 4 sts**, BPdc around the post of each of next 4 sts, rep from * across, ending last rep at **, 1 dc in top of turning ch, turn.
