About This Stitch Pattern
The garter mitered corner is a square motif perfect for domino style afghans. The effect is created by knitting decreases in the center of a garter stitch swatch. These decreases pull in the sides of the fabric, creating symmetrically angled sides. The squares are quick and easy to make, and perfect for mindless knitting in front of the TV. They can easily be made in complementary colors and assembled into an interesting pattern for a blanket.
