About This Stitch Pattern
The lazy links uses a technique called “smocking”, where you wrap strands of yarn horizontally across a section of stitches. This is often combined with vertical ribs to create a lattice effect. It’s an easy technique with a big payoff. You can see this stitch pattern used in hats, the yoke of a sweater, or any project that can benefit from a large repeating texture pattern.
