About This Stitch Pattern
This knitting tutorial will help you learn how to knit the ribbed extended stitch. This stitch is very similar to a four by four rib but uses drop stitches to create puffed out ribs. The ribbed extended stitch would be great to use any ribbed project, cowls, sweaters or hats!

Cast On: Multiples of 8 + 4

- Row 1: (right side) *P4, k4 (winding yarn round needle three times for each stitch); rep from * to last 4 sts, p4.
- Row 2: K4, *Yf, slip 4 sts purlwise dropping extra loops off needle, yb, k4; rep from * to end.
- Row 3: *P4, yb, slip 4 sts knitwise, yf; rep from * to last 4 sts, p4
- Row 4: K4, *Yf, slip 4 sts purlwise dropping extra loops off needle, yb, k4; rep from * to end.
Repeat rows 1-4 until you have reached your desired length.
