About This Stitch Pattern
The scallop pattern is a lace knitting stitch that creates a fabric with columns of shell motifs, stacked on each other. Similar to the Old Shale or Feather and Fan stitches, this pattern does not have the same ripple effect as those other stitches. The result is a nice lace fabric perfect for scarves, blankets, and hats.
