Whelk Stitch

Whelk Stitch Knitting Pattern (Right Side)

About This Stitch Pattern

The whelk stitch is a slipped stitch pattern that creates a waffle like fabric. Its heavy texture makes it ideal for washcloths, and its geometric lines look great on large projects like blankets, scarves, and sweaters. The faux ribbing of the whelk stitch is also nice for hats, and the dense fabric will keep anyone nice and cozy.
