About This Stitch Pattern
The sliding block stitch is a mosaic colorwork pattern that consists of columns of horizontal bars, shifting from side to side. Like all mosaic knitting patterns, this optical illusion is achieved through strategically placed slip stitches. It makes for an incredibly easy to knit colorwork pattern that looks more complicated than it is.
Use this stitch pattern in everything from scarves to blankets to hats.
