About This Stitch Pattern
This wicker stitch makes a fabric with columns that look like the woven strands of a wicker chair or basket. The criss crossed look is achieved with mock cable stitches. This gives the appearance of a more complicated stitch. However, the wicker stitch is relatively simple to knit. It’s perfect for longer projects, like blankets or scarves, but could be incorporated into a hat or sweater if desired.
