This pattern started as an experiment with shaping a hat using short rows. The result was far more interesting than I expected.
Sidewinder is knit flat using short rows to create a unique reversible hat where garter stitch mimics ribbing.
The optional addition of colorwork stripes makes this hat stand apart from the crowd.
And since it’s all knit stitches, it can be made in just a few hours. A perfect last minute gift.
WHAT’S INSIDE?
Sidewinder+ comes in 3 sizes and two lengths, regular and slouchy.
It also includes instructions for solid color and striped versions.
The hat is also reversible (This has more impact with the striped version)
