About This Technique

The Knit Through the Back Loop stitch is a variation of the knit stitch. It creates a twisted stitch by turning the stitch while you are working. It is abbreviated as K tbl.

Technique Instructions

  • Step 1: Insert working needle into the back loop of the stitched to be worked.
  • Step 2: Yo needle in stitch.
  • Step 3: Draw loop through stitch.
  • Step 4: Transfer stitch to main needle.
