About This Stitch Pattern
Some stitch pattern names give off a certain vibe. I’ve always thought of the English Mesh as a proper, regal stitch. It’s intricate and geometric and altogether lovely. This stitch can be harder than a tea biscuit left out all night, so brew yourself a nice cuppa Earl Grey to calm your nerves before you try this one.
I think this pattern shines in big pieces of fabric, and the sharp angles give it a masculine feel. Try it in a throw using big yarn, a prayer shawl, or scarf.
