About This Technique

This video knitting tutorial will help you learn how to knit the slip knit pass decrease. Decreasing is a method of removing stitches.The slip knit pass decrease (skp) is identical to the slip slip knit (ssk) decrease, which is a left leaning decrease. It compliments the knit two together decrease (k2tog) and is used in tandem with it to shape your knitting symmetrically.

Technique Instructions

  • Step 1: Slip the first stitch knitwise off the main needle onto your working needle.
  • Step 2: Knit the second stitch off the main needle.
  • Step 3: Slip the second stitch on your working needle over the first stitch on your working needle.
