About This Stitch Pattern

The winding roads stitch is a slipped stitch cable pattern. It creates a fabric with vertical lines that curve and connect. The final effect is like little roads winding along a great plain. This all-over stitch pattern is a great stitch for blankets, scarves, and even hats. The bold graphical nature of the winding roads stitch would also look nice on the body of a sweater.

1/1 RPC”]1 over 1 Right Purl Cable (T2R – Twist 2 Right): Slip 1 stitch to cable needle and hold in back, k1 from main need, p1 from cable needle.

Row 13: Repeat Row 11
